Ewokone was born in NJ and raised in upstate NY. He relocated to Brooklyn as a young man, where he studied traditional animation at Pratt Institute, and went on to become an internationally recognized graffiti writer, illustrator and artist. Ewok resides and maintains his studio in Brooklyn. He travels extensively for commissioned work, and continues to evolve creatively while making his iconic NYC street art.
George Ewok Thompson has been a graffiti artist since 1991. He is a co-founder and editor of Life Sucks Die magazine, and is a founding member of Burlesque Design (Minneapolis).
Since 2002, he's also a member of the Seventh Letter Crew and has exhibited his art in Los Angeles, Tokyo, Taipei, Barcelona and Suwon, Korea,
