Our latest collaboration was with Community 54 for their monthly event, Finale Friday, which showcases local indie brands and artists at its East Village store. BWOOD and Faded NY joined us to show their latest gear.
About Community 54 - Community 54 is a neighborhood lifestyle boutique inspired by creative nostalgia. From classic arcade games and vintage street wear, mixed with new indie brands and contemporary art, the space is a destination for curators of unique collectibles and clothing. Community 54 started Finale Friday three years ago as an event to celebrate local artists, designers and musicians.

We teamed up with Collage NYC, Savior Elmundo and Kevin Michael, to look for an artist to design a hood for our next collection. Live art, great music, drinks, and of course, HOODIES, at Collage NYC's made this a great party at The DL in LES! We can't wait to work with our winning artist, Esteban del Valle.
About Collage NYC - Savior ElMundo presents a weekly networking event bringing together artists of all mediums in an effort to unite and promote the underground New York art scene. Artists paint live to music by Collage DJs & special guests with an eclectic mix of Afro Rhythms, Hip-Hop, Salsa, Classics and Rare Grooves. Some DJ's that have joined the COLLAGE family include; DJ Moma, DJ Anamated, DJ For Play, DJ Dax, Raw Q, DJ Smoke L.E.S., Nate Mack & DJ Desim.

Le Collektor hosted a lively panel panel discussion on "Street Art On and Off The Wall." Artists and curators from the local street art scene explored the evolution of street art and its place in the mainstream art world. Featured panelists included:
Joseph Meloy: One of our inaugural artists! Working in a style he coined Vandal Expressionism, his particular brand of post-graffiti abstraction draws heavily from AbEx, art brut, surrealism, cave painting and pop art.
Maureen Chung: Exhibitions manager at gallery nine5 in Nolita, who recently organized the groundbreaking street art show, Group INK.
Aymann Ismail: Documentarian and photographer at ANIMAL NY who has extensively covered the graffiti and street art scene.
Lee Wells: Conceptual artist, curator, consultant and the founding director of IFAAC Arts.
Cacy Forgenie (BOUDICON): Editor-in-chief at Flavorpill and artist based in Brooklyn, NY.
